Lost
Unable to locate
Lost describes something that cannot be found or has gone astray: a lost wallet, a lost child.
When you're lost, you don't know where you are or how to proceed.
Lost also means no longer possessed or beyond recovery: lost time, lost opportunities, a lost cause.
To be lost in something is to be deeply absorbed: She was lost in thought.
The lost can refer collectively to the dead, the damned, or those who have strayed from a path.
