The End

Credits soon follow

The End is the traditional closing title displayed at the conclusion of a film, play, or book, signaling the story is complete.

Once ubiquitous in cinema, it has become less common as modern films often roll directly into credits.

The screen faded to black and "The End" appeared in elegant script. (Lowercase the end refers to conclusions generally.)
