Haiphong

North Vietnamese city

Haiphong is a major port city in northern Vietnam, the country's third largest.

Located on the Red River delta near the Gulf of Tonkin, it serves as a key industrial and shipping center.

During the Vietnam War, American bombing of Haiphong harbor became a focal point of military strategy and antiwar protest.
