kaput

Beyond all repair

Kaput means broken, ruined, or no longer functioning.

From German, it entered English as informal slang for something that has failed completely or ceased to work: The engine is kaput, My phone went kaput.

It can also describe plans or relationships that have fallen apart: After that argument, their friendship was kaput.
