Joey Ramone
Joey Ramone was the stage name of Jeffrey Hyman (1951–2001), lead singer of the Ramones, the New York punk band that helped define the genre.
His distinctive voice—a nasal, melodic drawl—and lanky appearance became iconic.
The name follows the band's convention of all members adopting "Ramone" as a surname, though none were related.
