Boston Common

Historic Massachusetts green

Boston Common is the oldest public park in the United States, located in downtown Boston, Massachusetts.

Established in 1634, it serves as a central gathering space and landmark: We walked through Boston Common on our way to the State House.

The adjacent Boston Public Garden is often confused with it but is a separate park.
