Caucasoid
Outdated ancestry grouping
Caucasoid is an outdated anthropological term for one of three supposed major human races, alongside Mongoloid and Negroid.
The classification, based on skull measurements and physical features, grouped peoples of European, Middle Eastern, and South Asian descent.
The term and the racial taxonomy it belongs to have been abandoned by modern science as both biologically meaningless and rooted in racist pseudoscience.
It persists mainly in historical texts and forensic contexts.
