anachronistic

Wrong era entirely

Anachronistic describes something that belongs to a different time period than the one in which it appears.

A rotary phone in a modern office is anachronistic, as is a wristwatch on an actor playing Julius Caesar.

The word usually suggests something outdated or old-fashioned that persists into the present: The monarchy seems increasingly anachronistic in a democratic age.

Less commonly, it can describe something appearing too early, like a sci-fi movie showing technology that doesn't yet exist.
