Canada geese
V-formation autumn travelers
Canada geese are large wild geese native to North America, recognizable by their black heads and necks with distinctive white chin straps.
They migrate in V-formations, honking loudly.
Once a symbol of wilderness, they've adapted so well to suburban landscapes—golf courses, parks, corporate lawns—that many consider them pests.
The Canada geese have taken over the soccer field again.
