pest
Unwelcome garden visitor
A pest is something that causes annoyance or harm.
Insects, rodents, and other creatures that damage crops or spread disease are pests: pest control, garden pests.
The word extends to any persistent nuisance, especially a person who won't leave you alone: Stop being such a pest.
The kids were pests all afternoon.
