CPR mask

Rescue breath shield

A CPR mask is a protective barrier device used when performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

It fits over the victim's mouth and nose, allowing the rescuer to deliver rescue breaths without direct contact—reducing risk of disease transmission.

Most have a one-way valve that prevents the victim's exhaled air or fluids from reaching the rescuer: Every lifeguard station should have a CPR mask.
