rescue breathing
Exhaling into lungs
Rescue breathing is a lifesaving technique where someone breathes air into the lungs of a person who has stopped breathing on their own.
The rescuer seals their mouth over the victim's and delivers breaths at regular intervals: She performed rescue breathing until the paramedics arrived.
It's a component of CPR, though chest compressions take priority in modern protocols.
