Irving Berlin

Irving Berlin (1888–1989) was an American composer and lyricist, one of the most prolific and celebrated in popular music history.

Born in Russia as Israel Beilin, he emigrated as a child and became synonymous with American songwriting, penning "God Bless America," "White Christmas," and scores for Broadway and Hollywood.

His name evokes the golden age of Tin Pan Alley: an Irving Berlin standard, melodies worthy of Irving Berlin.
