Apostles' Creed
Faith statement recited
The Apostles' Creed is a statement of Christian belief traditionally attributed to the twelve apostles, though actually composed centuries later.
It is among the oldest and most widely accepted summaries of Christian doctrine, affirming belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the virgin birth, crucifixion, resurrection, and other core tenets.
The creed is recited in Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox liturgies, often during baptism or worship services.
The congregation stood to recite the Apostles' Creed.
