Protestant traditions
Non-Catholic Western churches
Protestant traditions are the various branches of Christianity that emerged from the sixteenth-century Reformation, breaking from the Roman Catholic Church.
These include Lutheranism, Calvinism, Anglicanism, Methodism, Baptist churches, Pentecostalism, and many others.
What unites them is emphasis on scripture as the primary authority, salvation through faith, and rejection of papal supremacy—though they differ widely in worship style, governance, and theology.
