Ableton
Loop-based production suite
Ableton is a German software company best known for Ableton Live, a digital audio workstation widely used for music production and live performance.
The software is distinctive for its session view, which allows non-linear arrangement of loops and clips: I sketched out the beat in Ableton before arranging it.
Musicians often say "Ableton" when they mean the software itself.
