zorses

Zebra-horse offspring

A zorse is a hybrid animal produced by crossing a zebra with a horse, typically a zebra stallion and a horse mare.

Like other zebra hybrids—collectively called zebroids—zorses are usually sterile and cannot reproduce.

They tend to inherit the zebra's striped pattern, though often only partially, appearing as stripes over a solid horse-colored coat.

The zorse at the sanctuary drew crowds because of its striking striped legs.
