x64

Modern computing standard

x64 refers to the 64-bit extension of the x86 processor architecture, the instruction set used by most desktop and laptop computers.

It allows processors to handle larger amounts of memory and process data in 64-bit chunks rather than 32-bit, improving performance for demanding applications.

Also called x86-64 or AMD64, after AMD developed the original specification.
