ARM
Mobile processor design
ARM is a British semiconductor company whose processor architecture dominates mobile devices and increasingly appears in laptops and servers.
The design emphasizes energy efficiency over raw power: Most smartphones run on ARM chips.
The name originally stood for Acorn RISC Machine. (Lowercase arm is a body part or weapon.)
