worry stones
Thumb-rubbed calm rocks
Worry stones are small, smooth stones with a thumb-sized indentation, meant to be rubbed repetitively as a calming gesture.
The tactile motion is thought to relieve anxiety or stress.
They're often made of polished semiprecious stones like amethyst or jade, sold in gift shops and wellness stores: She kept a worry stone in her pocket during the interview.
