meditation cushion
Cushion for stillness
A meditation cushion is a firm, often round pillow designed to support the body during seated meditation practices.
Typically filled with buckwheat hulls or kapok fiber, it elevates the hips above the knees to reduce strain on the lower back and legs during extended sitting.
The traditional Japanese version is called a zafu.
She settled onto her meditation cushion and closed her eyes.
