workday
Nine to five
A workday is a day on which work is done, as opposed to weekends or holidays: The package will arrive within three workdays.
It also means the portion of a day spent working: an eight-hour workday.
The adjective workday means ordinary or mundane—the everyday as opposed to the special: workday concerns, workday routine.
