flextime

Variable work hours

Flextime is a work arrangement allowing employees to choose their own hours within limits set by the employer.

Workers might arrive early and leave early, or start late and finish late, so long as they complete required hours and cover core periods when everyone must be present: The company offers flextime, so I work seven to three.

Also spelled flex-time or flexi-time.
