kiln-dried
Heat-treated for stability
Kiln-dried describes wood or other materials that have been dried in a kiln—a heated chamber that removes moisture more quickly and thoroughly than air-drying.
Kiln-dried lumber is less prone to warping, shrinking, or harboring pests: Make sure you're using kiln-dried firewood.
The process is standard for construction lumber and fine woodworking.
