wildland
Nature without people
Wildland refers to land in its natural state, uncultivated and undeveloped by humans.
The term appears most often in discussions of conservation and fire management: wildland firefighters, the wildland-urban interface.
Unlike wilderness, which suggests pristine remoteness, wildland simply denotes land that hasn't been put to agricultural or residential use.
