weightings

Assigned numerical values

Weightings are the relative importance or influence assigned to different factors in a calculation or decision.

In statistics and finance, weightings determine how much each component contributes to an overall result: The index uses market-cap weightings, so larger companies have more impact.

A weighted average gives some values more pull than others.

The term appears in education, surveys, and any system where not all inputs count equally.
