wefts
Loom's lateral yarns
Wefts are the horizontal threads woven through the vertical warp threads on a loom.
The weft passes back and forth across the width of the fabric, interlacing with the warp to create cloth.
In hair styling, a weft is a strip of hair—natural or synthetic—sewn or bonded together at one edge, used for extensions: She had wefts sewn into her natural hair for added volume.
