webnovels
Digital chapter stories
Webnovels are novels published online, typically in serial format with chapters released incrementally.
The form originated in East Asian internet culture, particularly Chinese, Korean, and Japanese platforms, where authors post directly to reading sites.
Webnovels often run extraordinarily long—hundreds or thousands of chapters—with genres like fantasy, romance, and cultivation fiction dominating: I've been binge-reading this webnovel for weeks.
