Creator's supplemental remarks
Author notes are comments written by an author directly to readers, typically appearing before or after a story chapter or at a book's end.
Common in fanfiction and self-published work, they offer context, explanations, or personal remarks outside the narrative itself: A/N: Sorry for the late update!
The abbreviation A/N is standard in online fiction communities.
