Virtual face-to-face gathering
A video conference is a meeting conducted over the internet with participants visible to each other through cameras.
The technology enables face-to-face interaction without physical presence: We held our weekly video conference with the Tokyo office.
The verb is to video conference or videoconference: Let's video conference tomorrow instead of calling.
