virtual concert
Streamed musical event
A virtual concert is a musical performance experienced remotely through digital technology rather than in person.
The term covers everything from livestreamed shows to elaborate productions in video game environments or virtual reality platforms.
Virtual concerts surged during the COVID-19 pandemic when live venues closed: I watched the virtual concert from my couch.
Some feature interactive elements impossible at physical venues.
