undercutter

One who undercuts

An undercutter is a person or thing that cuts beneath something, or more commonly, one who undercuts—offering lower prices than competitors or undermining someone's position.

In sports, particularly tennis and golf, an undercutter puts backspin on the ball by striking with a downward motion.

The term also applies to specialized cutting tools designed to work beneath surfaces.
