trapeziums
Irregular four-sided polygons
Trapeziums is the plural of trapezium, a four-sided figure with one pair of parallel sides—what Americans call a trapezoid.
In American usage, trapezium instead means a quadrilateral with no parallel sides.
The trapezium is also a bone in the wrist near the base of the thumb.
The geometry test included several trapeziums of varying dimensions.
