trans-continental

Across the landmass

Trans-continental means crossing or spanning a continent: the trans-continental railroad, a trans-continental flight.

The hyphenated form is less common than the solid spelling transcontinental, but both refer to routes, journeys, or systems that extend from one side of a landmass to the other.
