tractor pull
Heavy machinery competition
A tractor pull is a motorsport competition where modified tractors or trucks drag a weighted sled down a track.
The sled's weight transfers forward as it moves, creating increasing resistance until the vehicle can no longer pull.
Competitors are judged by distance.
The sport is popular at county fairs and rural events across North America: We watched the tractor pull after the livestock judging.
