thermoregulator
Heat balance device
A thermoregulator is a device that maintains temperature within a set range, automatically adjusting heating or cooling systems.
The most familiar example is a home thermostat.
The term also applies to biological systems—the hypothalamus functions as the body's thermoregulator, keeping internal temperature stable despite external conditions.
