textphone
Typed call device
A textphone is a device that allows deaf, hard-of-hearing, or speech-impaired people to communicate by telephone using typed text rather than voice.
The user types messages on a keyboard, and the text appears on a display screen at the receiving end.
Also called TTY (teletypewriter) or minicom.
The office has a textphone number for accessibility.
