tankships
Liquid cargo vessels
Tankships are vessels designed to transport liquid cargo in bulk, particularly oil and petroleum products.
The term is a more formal or technical synonym for tankers: Regulations governing tankships in coastal waters have tightened considerably.
The word appears most often in maritime law and shipping industry contexts.
