synchronic
At one moment
Synchronic describes the study of something at a single point in time, without regard to its historical development.
The term belongs primarily to linguistics, where synchronic analysis examines a language as it exists now rather than how it evolved: a synchronic study of English verb forms.
The opposite is diachronic, which traces change over time.
