styloid
Slender bony protrusion
Styloid describes something resembling a style or stylus—long, slender, and pointed.
The term appears almost exclusively in anatomy, naming bony projections: the styloid process of the skull, the radial styloid at the wrist, the ulnar styloid.
Pain at the ulnar styloid suggests a possible fracture.
