Foul-smelling aquatic reptile
A stinkpot is a person or animal that smells bad, often used playfully toward children: Come here, you little stinkpot.
The word also names a small, foul-smelling turtle native to eastern North America—the common musk turtle.
Historically, stinkpots were vessels filled with combustible materials thrown onto enemy ships to create noxious smoke.
