stereo sound
Two-channel listening experience
Stereo sound is audio that uses two or more channels to create a sense of spatial depth and directionality, mimicking how human ears perceive sound from different positions.
Contrasted with mono, which collapses all audio into a single channel: The old recording was in mono, but they remastered it in stereo.
Short for stereophonic.
