stan account
Obsessive follower profile
A stan account is a social media profile dedicated to promoting and celebrating a particular celebrity, musician, TV show, or fictional character.
The account holder posts content—photos, videos, updates, fan edits—focused almost exclusively on their chosen subject rather than their own life.
Stan accounts form communities around shared obsessions: My stan account for BTS has more followers than my personal one.
The term combines stan (an intensely devoted fan) with the social media sense of account.
