burner account
Untraceable online identity
A burner account is a secondary social media or email account created for anonymity, typically to avoid association with one's main identity.
People use burner accounts to post controversial opinions, follow content they'd rather keep private, or interact without consequences: I made a burner account to argue with strangers on Twitter.
The term comes from burner phones—cheap prepaid mobiles used temporarily and discarded.
