split-screen

Two frames, one screen

Split-screen refers to a display divided into two or more sections showing different content simultaneously.

In film and television, it presents multiple scenes or perspectives at once: The split-screen showed both ends of the phone conversation.

In video games and computing, it allows multiple users or applications to share one monitor: We played split-screen multiplayer.

As a verb, to split-screen is to display this way.
