snitching
Informing on others
Snitching is informing on someone, especially to authorities.
The term carries strong disapproval—snitches betray trust by reporting others' wrongdoing: Stop snitching became a slogan against cooperating with police.
In casual use, snitching can describe tattling over minor matters: She's always snitching to mom about what I do.
