sloshy

Liquid and shifting

Sloshy describes liquid moving noisily in a container, or surfaces wet enough to make splashing sounds underfoot: sloshy puddles on the sidewalk, the sloshy sound of water in my boots.

The word suggests messy, audible wetness—mud, melting snow, or an overfilled cup threatening to spill.
