cash game
Real-money poker session
A cash game is a poker format where chips represent real money and players can join or leave at any time.
This contrasts with tournaments, where players buy in for a fixed amount and play until eliminated.
In a cash game, you can rebuy chips whenever you want and cash out your stack when you're done: I prefer cash games because I can quit whenever I'm ahead.
