referred
Sent someone elsewhere
Referred is the past tense of refer.
To refer is to direct attention toward something: She referred me to a specialist, He referred to the incident only once.
When something is referred to a committee or authority, it's sent there for consideration or decision.
A referred pain is felt in a different location from its source.
