re-embarkation

Boarding a vessel again

Re-embarkation is the act of boarding a ship, aircraft, or vehicle again after having disembarked.

The term appears most often in cruise travel, where passengers leave the ship for shore excursions and must return: Re-embarkation begins at 4 PM.

It also has military applications for troops returning to transport vessels.
